First drafts of personal descriptions were returned. We went over common errors and my correction symbols. This project, in it's final form, including the collage, is due on Thursday, Sept. 3.
We began our first class story today. Here is our key story vocabulary so far:
bañarse - to bathe oneself
se baña - s/he bathes herself/himself
lavarse - to wash oneself (a part of oneself: hands, hair, teeth, etc.)
se lava - s/he washes (herself/himself)
acostarse - to lie down, to go to bed
se acuesta - s/he lies down, goes to bed
The stories have continued into the block days, and have taken some interesting turns! We've had some great A follow-up assignment was given:
Write six interesting sentences, using the following:
1. se baña
2. me baño (I bathe myself)
3. se lava
4. me lavo
5. se acuesta
6. me acuesto
I have collected some students' work, and will collect all by Thursday.
We'll be seeing a few PowerPoint presentations on "reflexive" verbs. I've included the first one below.
