These and other foods typical to the celebration of El Día de los Muertos can be prepared for class for Monday, Nov. 2nd. Other possibilities are homemade tamales and candied pumpkin (calabaza en tacha).
Preparing these foods from scratch is a way to earn up to 20 points of extra credit. If you prepare it with a partner, you split the points. Make enough for everyone to try it. If you have some other dish in mind, and are hoping to receive extra credit, check with me, please.
Remember, your shoebox ofrenda is due Monday, Nov. 2nd! Follow the guidelines on your project descriptor.
